Illinois State Scholars

We would like to congratulate four seniors that have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars.   State Scholars are selected annually based on standardized test scores combined with sixth semester class rank. These exceptional students rank in approximately the top ten percent of graduates from Illinois high schools.  Our four Illinois State Scholars are:  Brody Beals, Zachary Cox, Craig Greuel and Lance Lankow.  

Brody Beals is the son of PJ and Kendra Beals. He plans to attend Maryville University in St. Louis, MO to get a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.   His extracurricular activities include Baseball, WYSE Club, Scholar Bowl, NHS, Drama Club, LEO Club, FFA, and FCA.

Zachary Cox is the son of Aaron Cox and Jodi Cox.  He plans to attend Hood College, in Maryland and study to be a Therapist and also be a Fantasy Novelist.  His extracurricular activities include Band, Scholar Bowl, and NHS.

Craig Greuel is the son of Doug and Brigit Greuel.  He plans to major in Computer Aided Drafting Technology at Lake Land College and transfer to SIUC to major in Industrial Design.  His extracurriculars include Boy Scouts, Scholar Bowl, National Honor Society and Tech Club.  

Lance Lankow is the son of Jon and Shari Lankow.  His major is undecided at this time but he plans to attend Lake Land College and then transfer to a University afterwards.  His extracurriculars include Baseball, Scholar Bowl, National Honor Society, LEO Club, Tech Club, FBLA, Drama Club and WYSE.
