HS Student of the Month - October

Samantha Hayes, the daughter of Kenny and Sara Hayes, was selected as the October High School Student of the Month.  She is a junior.  She was selected by her teachers because her smile and attitude are contagious.  You can always count on Sam and she is a very dependable, responsible student.  She is also a good friend to her peers.  Sam is involved in Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Travel Softball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Lutheran Youth Fellowship, Student Council, WYSE Club, National Honor Society, LEO Club and Tech Club.  Her favorite subject is either art or history.  Mrs. Hess is really good at giving fun and challenging projects.  It is a break in her day.   Mr. Smith is a super fun teacher.  He makes history interesting and very enjoyable.  Sam looks forward to both classes.  In her free time Sam likes to relax, read, go on walks/runs with her dog, go to her grandma's house to hang out with all her cousins, camping and traveling.  Sam is not sure of her future plans.  She shared that if she is still indecisive after high school then she hopes to travel until she figures it out.  After she figures out her career and she is done traveling, she hopes to settle down with her future husband in a ranch home and have a family.   Now to move on to some fun facts.  If she ever won the lottery she would save some of the money and then donate some to the Samaritans Purse and to Pro Life Movements.  It would also be fun to be able to fund a mission trip for a church and help kids and people in other countries who don't have as much as we have.  If a genie was able to grant her one wish she would want to cure cancer.  If she had one super power she would want to be able to fly.  Then she could go anywhere she wanted and see the prettiest views from above.  Some of her favorite experiences in school have been in Junior High Sports.  She has so many great memories.  They were good and all of her coaches were incredible, especially basketball with Mr. Niemerg.  Sam and her cousin Ellie still reminisce about those basketball seasons!
