JH Student of the Month - November

Aliyah Shaltaf, the daughter of Jennifer Shull and Denis Zonkger of Stewardson and Murad Shaltaf, was named the Stewardson-Strasburg Junior High Student of the Month for November.  She is in the eighth grade. Aliyah's teachers nominated her because she is thoughtful, caring, a hard worker and friendly.  She participates in volleyball and basketball. Her favorite subject in school is Algebra. It is something that she gets and understands. In her free time she likes to crochet, spend time with her animals, read, hang with friends and do arts and crafts. In the future she hopes to go to college and be an Architect and make beautiful buildings and design them. If she won the lottery she would help out her family just like her biological dad does. If a genie was able to grant her one wish, she would use it on her siblings because she always puts them first. If she had one super power she would want to be able to talk to animals. Aliyah has always loved animals and she would help any stray animal. Whenever she would bring home a stray her mom would get mad, but she just wanted to help them. Her favorite school experience has been when her classmates break out into a song. It is really funny and fun to join in. It brings her a lot of joy.
