HS Student of the Month
Isabelle Gratz, the daughter of James Gratz and Rachel Padgett, was named the Stewardson-Strasburg High School Student of the Month for February. She is a senior. Her teachers nominated her because of her hard work ethic, willingness to help, and give 100%. Isabelle enjoys participating in Drama Club, Book club, Language Club, Business Club, FBLA, WYSE Club, NHS, LYF and Central Illinois Precision Shooting. Her favorite subject is Calculus. She really likes the advanced math courses and the challenge that comes along with having harder classes. In her free time she enjoys reading and watching T.V. In the future she plans to go to Murray State University, major in Physics and Engineering, and compete on their rifle team. In the future she hopes to find a job where she can design and build machines that deal with aeronautics. Now to move on to some fun facts. Isabelle shared that if she ever won the lottery she would probably put it into an investment account, and use the money in the future to buy a house. If a genie was able to grant her one wish, she would wish to pass college without having to try. If she had one super power, she would want to be a great gardener. Right now everything she touches dies. Her favorite school experience has been FBLA State Leadership Conference 2024.
JH Student of the Month
Zoey Conder, the daughter of Justin and Hilary Conder, was named the Stewardson-Strasburg Junior High Student of the Month for February. She is in the seventh grade. Her teachers nominated her because she works well with others, is kind and is positive in class.
Zoey enjoys participating in school volleyball, Rapid Fire volleyball, and cheer. Her favorite subject in school is Art. Art is her favorite subject because she enjoys learning new things like sewing and weaving. In her free time she likes to hang out with her dog, practice volleyball, ride four wheeler’s, hang out with friends and bake. In the future she hopes to go to Lake Land College for Cosmetology school, get her degree and start working at a salon. Now to move on to some fun facts. If she ever won the lottery she would save some of it, get her dream car, give some to her parents and use the rest to start up her own hair salon. If a genie was able to grant her one wish, she would want to be able to fly so that she could see all the states in the U.S. If she had one super power, it would be to teleport because she would never be late. In school so far, her favorite experience would be this past volleyball season. They won sectionals and got to go to state!
