HS Student of the Month: Ella Kinkelaar
Ella Kinkelaar, the daughter of Jeremy and Kelly Kinkelaar, was selected as the April High School Student of the Month. Ella is a senior. Her teachers nominated her because of her kindness, good attitude and willingness to always put in the extra work. She has participated in a variety of activities: volleyball, basketball, softball, Rapid Fire Club Volleyball, LEO Club President, Pep Club President, NHS Secretary, FCA Leader, Yearbook Staff, WYSE Club, Language Club, Business Club, FFA, and LYF. She has been a year round athlete, active club member and high honor roll student. Her favorite subject this year has been yearbook. She has enjoyed getting to take pictures and designing fun pages. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, swimming, shopping, art, pickleball, spending time outdoors and working out. Her future plans are to attend Lincoln Land College on a volleyball scholarship and take classes in the health care field. Then, transfer to a four year university to continue her athletic and academic career. Now to share some fun facts. If Ella ever won the lottery she would donate some to charities and research groups, travel the world, buy a beach house in Florida, and put in a sports complex in her backyard. If a genie were able to grant her one wish, she would wish for every person to live a long, happy and healthy life. If she had one super power, she would want to have an indestructible body and mind. Then, she would always stay healthy and never have to experience pain. Her favorite experience in school has been all of the homecoming and prom dances and also her team's volleyball post season success.
