JH Student of the Month: Zachary Probst
Zachary Probst, the son of Jesse and Theresa Probst, was selected as the April Junior High Student of the Month. Zachary is in the 6th grade. His teachers nominated him because he has a positive attitude, is friendly to all and is a leader in the classroom. Zachary enjoys basketball and played on the school's 6th grade team this past school year. His favorite subject is math. It comes easy to him and he knows that it will help him in the future. In his free time he enjoys practicing basketball and playing with his sisters. In the future he hopes to attend an electrician college. Then he hopes to work for a company as an electrician. Now to move on to some facts. If he ever won the lottery he would want to buy a really nice car, a nice house and then save the rest. If a genie was able to grant him one wish, he would wish to be the new Michael Jordan. If he had one super power he would want super strength. He then could win every boxing match and be rich. So far his favorite experience in school has been winning the Stew-Stras basketball tournament this year.

This year we also recognized Cyrus Calhoun who will be serving in the Army and Henry Vonderheide who will be attending West Point Military Academy. Both boys leave this summer to start their journeys serving our country. Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary, Mrs. Sarah Wyckoff presented the students with red, white and blue cords that will be worn at graduation. The Stewardson-Strasburg School District would like to thank all of those who contributed money to our scholarship fund. HS Student of the Month for Mach:
Grace Carroll, the daughter of Jim and Stacy Carroll, was named the March High School Student of the Month. Her teachers nominated her because of her positive attitude, friendliness towards others, work ethic and always willing to be helpful. She is a junior this year. She is involved in volleyball, Language Club, WYSE Club, NHS, LEO Club, FCA, Pep Club and Business Club. She is also involved with her church's youth group and volunteers with the preschool kids at church. Her favorite subject at school this year is spanish. She likes how the class is a small group and Mr. Hansen always makes it fun. In her free time she likes to hang out with friends, go on coffee runs, spend time with her family, travel and shop! In the future she hopes to either attend a four year university or Lake Land College and then transfer. She is not 100% sure, but right now she wants to become a Physical Therapist. Now to move on to some fun facts. If she ever won the lottery she would want to donate some to charities of her choice, take her family on a big vacation to Europe, and keep the rest to spend on a vintage Bronco. If a genie was able to grant her one wish, she would selfishly wish for an all expense paid trip to Italy. Unselfishly, she would wish that people would be kinder. If she had one super power, she would want to teleport to any place at any time so that she could travel and go anywhere. Her favorite school experience would be homecoming week. She really loves homecoming week, and all the anticipation leading up to the game and dance. A close second would be swinging and singing songs with Raegyn in kindergarten.

JH Student of the Month for March:
Abby Smith, the daughter of J.P. and Shannon Smith, was named the March Junior High Student of the Month. Her teachers nominated her because of her hard work and positive attitude. She is in the sixth grade. She participates in volleyball, gymnastics, and softball. Her favorite subject is math, because it challenges her to learn new things. In her free time she likes to draw, paint and watch TV. In the future she wants to go to college and be a Sports Therapist. Now to move on to some fun facts. If she ever won the lottery she would want to save most of it to pay for her college. If a genie was able to grant her one wish, she would wish to get another dog. If she had one super power she would want it to be teleportation. Then she would be able to go anywhere she wanted to quickly. So far, her favorite school experience has been in kindergarten when she got to hold a baby alligator.

Congratulations to the HS PBIS Winners for March!
